What we collect and why
- Order data (name, billing/delivery address, email, phone, items bought): to fulfil your order and meet legal record-keeping duties. Lawful basis: contract, legal obligation.
- Payment data: handled entirely by our payment providers (WooPayments/Stripe, and PayPal if offered). We never receive or store full card numbers.
- Account data (if you create an account): to let you view orders and check out faster. Lawful basis: contract.
- Correspondence: emails you send us, kept to handle your enquiry and for our records. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Site analytics (aggregate visitor statistics via our host’s tools, e.g. Jetpack): to understand how the shop is used. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
Sharing
We share data only with the services needed to run the shop: our website host (WordPress.com / Automattic), payment providers, and delivery carriers (name and address, to deliver your parcel). We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Order records are kept for 6 years for tax purposes. Accounts persist until you ask us to delete them. Correspondence is kept as long as relevant.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. Email sales@visionhobbies.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

The site uses cookies that are essential for it to function (shopping basket, checkout, login) and, with your consent where required, analytics cookies that measure site usage. Essential cookies cannot be switched off; you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though the basket and checkout may stop working.
