Nikon F AI DSLR DIGITAL fit 420 800mm zoom lens D7200 D7000 D800
Andoer 420–800mm Manual Focus Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon F Mount DSLR Cameras
This Andoer 420–800mm telephoto zoom lens is a budget-friendly way to achieve very long-range photography on Nikon F Mount DSLR cameras. It is ideal for distant subjects such as wildlife, birds, aircraft, the moon, motorsport, landscapes and other subjects where extra reach is needed.
This is a fully manual lens, so it does not have autofocus, electronic aperture control, vibration reduction, or electronic communication with the camera. Focusing is done by hand using the focus ring, and exposure is controlled manually through the camera settings. Because of the very long focal length, best results are achieved in good daylight and with a tripod, monopod, beanbag or other stable support.
Important Usage Notes
This lens is not like a modern Nikon AF-S or AF-P lens. It is a manual, non-electronic lens. The camera may display “F–” or not show an aperture value. This is normal and does not mean the lens is faulty.
For best results:
Set the camera to Manual Mode / M.
Use manual focus only.
Use Live View and magnify the image on screen to help focus accurately.
Use a fast shutter speed, especially at 800mm.
Use a tripod or monopod where possible.
Take a test photo, then adjust ISO and shutter speed until the exposure looks correct.
This type of lens is best used outdoors in bright conditions. It is not recommended for fast-moving subjects in poor light, indoor sports, or low-light photography.
Using on Different Nikon F Mount Cameras
Nikon D3000 / D3100 / D3200 / D3300 / D3400 / D3500 and D5000 / D5100 / D5200 / D5300 / D5500 / D5600
The lens will physically fit and can be used, but these entry-level Nikon bodies have limited support for non-electronic manual lenses. You will normally need to use Manual Mode only. The camera may not meter correctly with the lens attached, so exposure is adjusted by trial and error using the rear screen, histogram, ISO and shutter speed.
Autofocus will not work, and the camera will not control the aperture.
Nikon D7000 / D7100 / D7200, D200 / D300 / D500, D600 / D610 / D700 / D750 / D780, D800 / D810 / D850 and similar higher-end Nikon DSLRs
These bodies are generally better suited to manual lenses. Depending on the model, you may be able to enter Non-CPU Lens Data in the camera menu and use metering more easily. Manual focus is still required, and the aperture is still controlled manually by the lens rather than electronically by the camera.
Manual Mode is the safest option, but some higher-end bodies may also allow Aperture Priority use depending on the camera and lens setup.
Condition
Fully manual telephoto zoom lens for Nikon F Mount cameras. Please check your camera’s manual if you are unsure about using non-CPU manual lenses. This lens is supplied for users who are happy to focus and expose manually.
Please Note
This is a long-range manual lens and requires patience to use. It is capable of impressive reach for the price, but it will not perform like a modern autofocus Nikon telephoto lens costing many times more.
